Our commitment

Rifugium Aromaticum is a small practice, and this site is built and maintained by hand. We aim to meet widely used web accessibility guidance, and we treat any barrier you run into as a problem worth fixing.

Keyboard and navigation

You can move through the site with a keyboard alone. Links and buttons can be reached with the tab key and activated with enter or the space bar. Headings are used in order so screen reader users can skim a page structure, and the main navigation appears in the same place on every page.

Text and colour

Body text can be enlarged in your browser without losing content. We choose colour pairings for readable contrast, and we do not rely on colour alone to carry meaning.

Images

Photographs and profile cards carry descriptive alt text so their content is available if images do not load or if you use a screen reader. Where a card image contains written detail, we describe what it covers.

Where we fall short

Some library profile cards are supplied as images, so the fine print inside them is not selectable text. If you need the content of any card in plain text, ask and we will send it to you.
